Vacuum excavation uses a high velocity air or water stream to penetrate, expand, and breakup soil. The loosened particles are then removed by using a very powerful vacuum. From this, a hole is created that is typically anywhere from one to two feet wide and as deep as required to located buried lines.

1.) Contractor does the process for the PA One Call and then provides VacTech, Inc. with the Serial # of their One Call.
2.) Utility Company mark their facilities.
3.) VacTech will pot hole utility lines.
4.) Contractor verifies exposed utilities.
5.) Contractors then safeguard the holes.
This process is only if the contractor is using us for the locating of lines.
